Transportation Systems

In school year 2010-2011, the high school component of Transportation Systems (Automotive) is offered at the following secondary sites:

  • Delaware Area Career Center (North Campus); Delaware, Ohio
  • Eastland Career Center; Groveport, Ohio
  • Fairfield Career Center; Carroll, Ohio

  • Pickaway-Ross Career & Technology Center; Chillicothe, Ohio
  • South-Western Career Academy (SW City Schools); Grove City, Ohio
  • Tolles Career & Technical Center; Plain City, Ohio

The college component of the program offers choices of degree programs at the following higher education institutions:

Columbus State Community College has articulation agreements for this College Tech Prep program by which high school graduates may qualify for college credit for certain technical courses within the designated associate degree programs.

Ohio University Chillicothe and Lancaster Campuses offer a pathway upon completion of an Associate Degree for a Bachelor of Technical and Applied Science. The Bachelor of Technical and Applied Science Degree is an opportunity for a student who has completed or is completing a two-year technical degree program from an accredited community college, regional campus, or technical college who wishes to pursue a baccalaureate degree. The program provides a student with knowledge and skills to have the opportunity for advancement in a career and integrates the technical skills of the technical degree with the professional skills of courses from the bachelor’s degree courses. The BTAS degree utilizes 96 hours of associate degree credit, of which 36-45 hours must be in a technical field.

  • Transportation Systems CFTCS competencies address all relevant competencies for targeted ASE certifications.
  • The consortium-level CFTCS Transportation Systems review took place in December 2007. The next curriculum review will take place in 2011.
